Absolut Jams Jazz Talent Competition comes to a close!

For Immediate Release:

Atlanta - Absolut Jams Jazz Talent Competition opened on Monday, July 21, 2003, to an excited crowd of jazz fans. The kickoff featured Motown recording artist KEM. A large amount of aspiring singers and musicians waited patiently for their time to shine in front of an audience filled with anticipation, on a weekly basis. “Hot Ice” host Ken Batie kept the crowd into the competition, by constantly reminding the crowd that $5,000 was at stake. His wit and humor brought smiles to the faces of many, as they grooved to the tunes of each contestant. Overall, the competition was solid and the talent amazed many, including the judges. Towards the end, one person emerged as the winner.

The celebrity judges at our finals competition were Hidden Beach Recording Artist Mike Phillips, Jazz violinist Ken Ford and Atlanta Journal Constitution staff writer Sonia Murray.

The R&B competition continues at the Riviera, Monday, August 11, 2003. Here are the highlights from Absolut Citron Presents the Absolut Jams finals competition.
